January 22, 2012Mayor Gallo Welcomes Hudson Landing
Soon after the mayoral elections last November, AVR Realty officials met with newly elected Mayor Shayne Gallo to update him on the status of the Hudson Landing housing community. Mayor Gallo immediately promised his personal support as well as the City’s continued support for the much-needed housing project in Ulster County.
The signature housing commu
nity will be built along the Hudson River in the City of Kingston and Town of Ulster. Since Mayor Gallo took office in January, he has continued to work with the Hudson Landing team to help move the project forward. In spite of the current difficult housing market climate, Gallo expressed his optimism that Hudson Landing will be built. Saying that Hudson Landing is a cornerstone for his administration’s economic growth for Kingston, Gallo has already been actively involved working with other local officials as the infrastructure phase of Hudson Landing continues.
In a recent meeting at City Hall, Mayor Gallo welcomed Hudson Landing team members Tom Perna, Dan Simone and Ron Marquette to discuss collaborative plans for the future. Gallo promised his help and the resources of the City so that we can “get a shovel in the ground as soon as possible.”
