Apr 30 In Concert: John Medeski, jamie Saft, Dan Littleton, Elizabeth Mitchell and Special Guests

High Meadow School presents the musical synergies of some of its nationally and internationally-known musician parents. 7pm, VIP reception hosted by John Medeski sharing wines from his private collection accompanied by hors d'oeuvres from local chefs. 8pm an evening of eclectic music begins in the intimate setting of High Meadow's Performing Arts Center, 3700 Main St., Stone Ridge.

Apr 30 Jay and Silent Bob Get Old

Film icons Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes made fans all over the world with their characters Jay & Silent Bob from the movies Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, and Clerks II. They reunite at UPAC, 601 Broadway, Kningston NY 12401 to perform live as part of a cross-country recording comedy podcast "Jay and Silent Bob Get Old". Kevin Smith's legendary Q&As and the addition of Jay Mewes will bring in fans faster than you can say Snootchie Bootchies. The Woodstock Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Artistic Director David Leighton, performs a world premiere by Jane Barsumian, and works by Respighi, Mahler and Dvorak. Apr 30 Minnewaska Park Hike: The Road Less Traveled

Four-mile round trip hike along the Old Minnewaska Trail, which follows the route of the original road built to cross over the Shawangunk Ridge from New Paltz to Kerhonkson. Experience a footpath less traveled by the public, offering a tranquil experience in an area loaded with cultural history. 9 AM. Run 2 miles; Road Bike, 2 Miles; Run, 2 Miles. Perfect race for anyone starting to get into triathlon. The course is fast, flat and fun. Relay and kids fun race too. Apr 29 La Cosecha/The Harvest by Arm of the Sea Theater

Coming out of work the group did with children of migrant farm workers, this play features Nueva Cancion music from Latin America and parts are presented in both Spanish and English. It tells the story of a young man who can't pay the "coyote" who's smuggled him across the border and must choose between succumbing to slavery or asserting his humanity. $8 suggested donation. Apr 26 Tuesday Trek: Mosses and Liverworts of the Shawangunks

Join naturalist Eric Van Deusen for a guided hike to learn about mosses and their close cousins, liverworts. These small and overlooked plants are often the first species of plants to inhabit the rocks of the Ridge and they play a vital role in the ecology of the Shawangunks. Apr 24 Easter Day Hike: Millbrook Mountain at Minnewaska State Park

Join Laura Conner, Environmental Educator, for this challenging five-mile hike along the Millbrook Mountain footpath. This hike features various terrain including exposed bedrock, twisting trees, and a tranquil stream meandering through it all.
