Nov 27 Christmas Quest

Children will search through the grand Deyo House on Huguenot Street looking for Christmas themed clues (vintage cards, stockings, antique cookie cutters). Exploring this stately colonial revival will be a delightful challenge as you discover the clues and solve the mystery of the hunt! Holiday treats and warm cider will be provided back at the DuBois Fort Visitor Center upon completion of the hunt.

Nov 25 7th Annual New Paltz Turkey Trot: 5K Race, Walk and Fun Run

All monies raised by the Turkey Trot benefit the Family of New Paltz Food Pantry. Family provides the community with a food pantry, 24 hour hotline, counseling, support groups. The Turkey Trot entrance fee until the day before Thanksgiving at 5 PM is $10 for runners/walkers ages 18 and under and seniors 65 and over, and $15 for runners/walkers ages 19 to 64 years. On race day, the entrance fee is $12 for runners/walkers ages 18 and under and seniors, and $17 for runners/walkers ages 19 to 64.

Nov 17 Donald Elder: The Abstract Landscape

The WSA is happy to welcome renowned abstract impressionist painter Donald Elder to our instructional staff this year. Working on paper with a students' choice of oils or acrylics, Elder will guide students in creating landscapes in an abstract impressionist style from either reference materials or from their imagination.
