This time of year, most people mourn the loss of summer. Not me, I love the cooler, brisk weather and the bright reds, oranges and yellows of fall. The season is long here too - starting in September and peaking around the third week of October. Ulster County residents are lucky. We can simply look out our windows or take a walk down our street to enjoy the visual wonder of this season.

I am not an adventurer at heart. The truth is, the adventure gene simply skipped over me. Adventure, for me, is not a physical pursuit. I happily find adventure in the discovery of discounts at Marshalls in Kingston or in the cuisine of Suruchi, my favorite New Paltz Indian restaurant.
